1. Who we teach

Behind-the-wheel lessons are for teen and adult drivers. If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian should book and stay involved.

2. Lessons

A standard individual driving lesson is 2 hours. Current individual lesson rate: $165 per 2-hour lesson. Lessons reserve the instructor and training vehicle. If you arrive late, the lesson generally still ends at the original time.

3. Payment

Cash, Cash App, and Zelle. Do not send payment until the appointment is confirmed by a call from (562) 660-6820. After confirmation you will receive payment instructions by email.

4. 24-hour cancellation notice

At least 24 hours’ notice: no cancellation fee. The lesson may be rescheduled based on availability, or you may request a refund for an eligible prepaid unused lesson.

5. Late cancellations, same-day, and no-shows

A $50 cancellation fee may be charged for less than 24 hours’ notice, same-day cancellations, and no-shows. Remaining prepaid balance may be refunded or credited after the $50 fee. Repeated no-shows may require prepayment or we may decline further lessons.

6. Emergencies

The fee may be waived at the instructor’s discretion for a legitimate emergency. Documentation may be requested.

7. Refunds

Refunds apply only to unused services. Completed lessons are not refundable. For packages, only the unused portion is considered after deducting completed lessons and applicable fees.

8. Rescheduling

Subject to instructor availability and not guaranteed. Give at least 24 hours’ notice. Repeated changes may require advance payment.

9. Instructor cancellations

If we cancel due to illness, vehicle problems, unsafe conditions, or emergencies, you are not charged a cancellation fee.

10. Safety

The instructor may discontinue a lesson for unsafe weather, vehicle concerns, student behavior that creates a safety risk, impairment, or failure to follow safety instructions. No refund is guaranteed when a lesson is stopped for unsafe student behavior.

11. Student responsibilities

Valid permit or license when required. Accurate information. Arrive on time. Follow safety instructions. Treat the instructor respectfully.

12. Communication

Repeated disrespectful, threatening, abusive, or inappropriate communication may end the instructor-student relationship.

13. Records

Grizzly Driving Academy keeps records of lesson requests, confirmations, cancellations, and payments. These records are used to schedule lessons, confirm appointments, send payment instructions, and maintain business records. We do not sell your information.
